Profile of a Graduate is part of new strategic plan goals approved by the school board.

(Aurora, Ind.) - The South Dearborn Community School Corporation will hold two input sessions in the New Year.
The sessions will focus on A Profile of a Graduate.
Earlier this year, the School Board approved new strategic plan goals, which includes:
- Strengthening recruitment and retention of quality staff
- Establishing a clear, consistent district vision, curriculum and graduate profile
- Improved communication and streamline systems
The next step in the process is to develop the Profile of a Graduate plan.
"A Profile of a Graduate is a clear, shared vision of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions we want every South Dearborn student to possess by the time they graduate. It serves as our district’s “north star,” guiding teaching, learning, and decision-making so that all students are prepared for life after high school—whether they choose college, career, military service, or entrepreneurship," reads a statement from the school corporation.
Families, staff, students and community members are invited to join two input sessions. The first will be held on Thursday, January 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dillsboro Elementary School Cafeteria.
The second will be held on Tuesday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the South Dearborn Middle School Cafeteria.
Community members do not need to be present at both meetings. The school corporation is simply offering multiple opportunities for community members to attend.
