School Resource Officer Saves Choking Student

(Versailles, Ind.) – A local school resource officer is being celebrated for his life-saving actions.

South Ripley Community Schools reported Friday that Ed Rodriguez successfully performed the Heimlich maneuver to a student at South Ripley High School.

Rodriguez jumped into action when a student began choking during breakfast.

The school corporation says Rodriguez acted swiftly and courageously to save the student.
