(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A 68-year-old Gateway Community and Technical College student who allegedly held up the school bookstore was arrested at a local riverboat casino early Friday morning.

 

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office said James Summers, Jr., of Forth Thomas, was seen on surveillance video using a large knife to rob the bookstore at the community college on Technology Way in Florence Thursday morning.

 

Summers remained at large after the holdup, until he was captured in Lawrenceburg. Indiana Gaming Commission agents at Hollywood Casino took him into custody at about 1:00 a.m. Friday.

 

Summers is being held at the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center, pending extradition to Kentucky where he will face a charge of First Degree Robbery.
