Eight local organizations received funding.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) awarded a total of $168,000 in new grants in the first quarter of 2026.
These grants included:
- Aberdeen-Pate Water Company $27,000 for SCADA Control Systems update
- New Marion Volunteer Fire Department $35,000 for firefighting gear
- Osgood Volunteer Fire Department $15,000 for communications equipment
- Ripley County Parks & Recreation $10,000 for electrical updates
- Rising Sun Church of Christ $17,000 for HVAC upgrades in community use area
- Rising Sun Municipal Utilities $27,000 for sewer influent pump replacement
- Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation $27,000 for HVAC system
- Safe Passage $10,000 for shelter door access control system upgrade
Applications for the third grant cycle of 2026 must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on July 15, 2026. Applicants are advised to review the grant guidelines and criteria carefully before submitting an application.
