Ten grants were awarded

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) awarded a total of $133,000 in new grants in the third quarter of 2026.
These grants included:
- City of Aurora, $10,000 for a new play structure at Lesko Park;
- Ohio County Rescue Services, $10,000 for communications equipment;
- Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation, $20,000 for retractable archery nets;
- St. Louis Catholic School, $10,000 for gym door renovation;
- The Parker Education Foundation, $10,000 for portable buildings for Wildroots Schoolhouse;
- Tyson Community Advancement Foundation, $20,000 for heating and cooling system for TysonAuditorium;
- Tyson Library Association, $8,000 for a heating and cooling system;
- Town of Versailles, $15,000 for enhancements at Tyson Memorial Sports Complex;
- Versailles Lions Club, $20,000 for roof replacement; and,
- Versailles Volunteer Fire Department for communications equipment.
Applications for the fourth grant cycle of 2026 must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on October 15, 2026. Applicants are advised to review the grant guidelines and criteria carefully before submitting an application. Detailed information about the grants is available on the Foundation’s website at
