(Versailles, Ind.) - The Ripley County Sheriff's Office has taken delivery of the last two vehicles this year from Enterprise Fleet Management.
In recent years, the Sheriff's Office has struggled through vehicle shortages.
To date, they have received 11 new vehicles to patrol Ripley County.
"We are well on our way to replacing the entire fleet, improving officer safety," reads a statement from the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies Pelfrey and Wilhelm are the recipients of the latest delivery. Both Deputies will be attending the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy this fall. Once they graduate and complete FTO, the Sheriff's Office will be at full deputy staff again.
