Ripley Co. Man Arrested for Impersonating Public Official, Intimation & Invasion of Privacy

An arrest was made quickly after multiple complaints from county residents.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - An arrest has been made after multiple complaints from Ripley County residents regarding threatening notes placed in their mailboxes. 

Jason Arnoldy, 57, of Ripley County, was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon and charged with Impersonation a Public Official, intimidation, and Invasion of Privacy. 

According to the Ripley County Sheriff's Office, Arnoldy identified himself as U.S. Marshal of Ripley County Court when placing threatening notes in mailboxes and on residences in Ripley County. 

He is being held in Ripley County Jail without bond until his initial hearing.
