Cincinnati Reds

(Batesville, Ind.) – Southeast Indiana baseball fans itching for warmer weather, ballpark hot dogs, and the sound of a ball snapping into a glove can find some relief this week.

The 2012 Cincinnati Reds Winter Caravan will make two stops in the area this week. The stops are part of the annual tour’s western leg.

The Major League Baseball club will be at the Sherman House restaurant in Batesville on Thursday, January 26 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Two days later, they will appear the Historic Hoosier Theatre in Vevay on Saturday, January 28 at 7:15 p.m.

Both local visits will include radio voices Jim Kelch and Jeff Brantley, manager Dusty Baker, and players Todd Frazier and Billy Hamilton along with mascot Rosie Red.

All caravan stops are free and open to the public, according to the team. Two tickets to the Reds’ Opening Day game against the Miami Marlins will be raffled off.

The entire list of 2012 Reds Winter Caravan stops can be found on the team’s website, http://cincinnati.reds.mlb.com/cin/fan_forum/caravan.jsp.
