(Ripley County, Ind.) – Five area food pantries are getting a helping hand from the Ripley County Community Foundation.
The foundation granted Ripley County’s food pantries - Batesville Food Pantry, Fishes and Loaves, Milan Community Relief, Ripley County Food Pantry, and Sunman Food Pantry – with $2,000 each on December 21.
The grant money came from the foundation’s United Way fund, which was established with donations from Ripley County residents who work outside the county and make United Way contributions through their place of employment.
Contributions of Main Source Bank employees were matched by Main Source bank.
Batesville Food Pantry was represented by Eric Bingaman; Fishes and Loaves of the Osgood Methodist Church by Janet Moore; Milan Community Relief by Sue Greer; Ripley County Food Pantry by Bill Warren; and Sunman Food Pantry by Sharon Eckstein.
