Prosecutor's Spouse Sentenced For Game Attack

(Madison, Ind.) - The husband of Switzerland County’s prosecuting attorney has been given probation in Jefferson County.

Last April, Robert Hensley – the spouse of prosecutor Monica Hensley – choked a referee at a youth basketball game, 95.3 WIKI reports.

During the game in progress at E.O. Muncie Elementary, Hensley reportedly disagreed with foul calls being made and walked onto the court and put the referee in a chokehold. The ref was sent to the hospital as a precaution.

Hensley, 42, was charged with Battery (Class A misdemeanor), but last week he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of Disorderly Conduct (Class B misdemeanor).

Hensley was sentenced to six months probation and ordered to pay $365 in fines and fees.
