(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - No charges will be filed against Cincinnati Bengals player Adam Jones for an incident at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg. Jones allegedly became argumentative and disruptive while at the riverboat on February 11. While the source of Jones’ frustration has not been clearly identified – he said he was asked to leave after using smokeless tobacco, but some reports suggested it was over gambling chips – what is clear is that he had to be escorted off the property. On Friday, Dearborn-Ohio County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard said no charges would be filed after reviewing the investigation conducted by the Lawrenceburg Police Department. The Lawrenceburg Police Department handled the investigation professional and without incident. The purpose of the disorderly conduct statute is to allow the police to arrest the individuals who are creating a disturbance and who refuse to stop. Mr. Jones’ behavior was disruptive but he cooperated with police and exited the facility without incident,” the prosecutor said in a statement. Jones posted an apology for the incident to his Instagram page on February 13 in which he said he only wants to be seen “as a great and humble father, husband, person, and Bengal.” RELATED STORIES: Bengals’ Jones Posts Apology After Casino Incident Bengals’ Jones Lashes Out At Media Over Casino Incident Coverage
