Police: Teen Dies Following I-75 Accident

The accident happened last Monday near Mt. Zion Road.

(Florence, Ky.) – A 17-year-old girl has died from injuries sustained in a Florence accident earlier this month.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that Katherine "KT" Kincaid, of West Chester, succumbed to her injuries on March 11.

Kincaid, a senior at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy, was on her way to a college visit when the accident occurred on March 9.

She and two others were stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 75 at Mt. Zion Road when a tractor-trailer struck them and their vehicles.

Kincaid, an organ donor, was kept on life support until her organs could be harvested. Police say she was able to save numerous lives with her organs.

The Interstate 75 crash also claimed the life of Joshua A. Jones, 34, of Mason, Ohio. A third victim, who has not been identified, remains hospitalized at UC Medical Center.
