(Ripley County, Ind.) – Local junior high and high school students showed off their artistic ability last Saturday in Batesville.
The Ripley County Community Foundation through its Ripley Youth Outreach Program hosted the 4th annual Chalktoberfest at the shopping village in Batesville.
Ripley Youth Outreach developed Chalktoberfest to provide local youth, 6th through 12th grade, an opportunity to showcase their artistic talents. This year, students will be challenged to create a 4’ x 3’ mural inspired by their favorite TV show.
This year’s winners in the junior high division are:
- Allison Peetz, 1st place, design inspired by Stranger Things
- Allie Cox, 2nd place, design inspired by Bluey
- Billy Cox, 3rd place, design inspired by The Simpsons
The winners in the high school division are:
- Leigh Walmsley, 1st place, design inspired by I’m Not Ok With This
- Grace Pettit, 2nd place, design inspired by Lucifer
- Gabbi Moore, 3rd place, design inspired by Carmen Sandiego
First place received $125, second place received $75 and third place $25.
