(Florence, Ky.) - On Saturday, August 30, Florence Police responded to a vehicle collision in the 7100 block of Turfway Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a gray Toyota Camry had accelerated forward, struck a pedestrian, and then came to rest inside a business.
Florence EMS arrived on scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased from her injuries. The pedestrian has been identified as Fatuma Ali, 63, of Florence, KY.
The driver of the Toyota Camry remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation.
