UPDATE: Overturned Tanker Shuts Down Interstate 75 Near Erlanger

Motorists should find an alternative route, if possible.

Erlanger Fire and EMS reports that the contents of the tanker must be transferred before the truck can be moved. 

The truck responsible for the transfer is six hours out. 

Crews are working to come up with a faster solution. 

 

Original story published Monday, December 21 at 11:29 p.m.:

(Erlanger, Ky.) – Interstate 75 is shut down in northern Kentucky due to an overturned semi.

Erlanger Fire and EMS says the accident occurred on I-75 southbound at the 184.3-mile marker coming off I-275 eastbound on the collector.

All lanes are currently blocked.

Crews say there is no active leak from the tanker at this time.

Motorists are encouraged to use an alternative route, if possible.
