UPDATE: Florence Man Suffers Minor Injury In U.S. 50 Crash Near Aurora

A car and a semi were involved in a crash near Gatch Hill Road Thursday morning.

Update published at 1:30 p.m.: 

A Florence, Kentucky man was injured after colliding into the back of a semi Thursday morning near Aurora. 

Dearborn County Sheriff's deputies responded to the crash around 6:53 a.m. on U.S. 50, just east of Gatch Hill Road. 

Deputies say Robert Harcrow, 41, of Madison, was westbound on U.S. 50 when a car in front of him slowed to make a left turn. As Harcrow slowed, his semi was struck in the rear by a passenger vehicle driven by Jimmy Shaw. 

Shaw, 24, was transported to Highpoint Health in Lawrenceburg with a hand injury. 

Harcrow was not injured in the accident. 

 

Original story published at 7:28 a.m.: 

(Aurora, Ind.) - A semi and a car collided on U.S. 50 Westbound near Aurora Thursday morning.

The wreck was reported at around 7:00 a.m. just east of the intersection with Cole Lane. Eyewitnesses reported a car had collided with the semi trailer.

At least one person was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, dispatchers said.

U.S. 50 WB is restricted to one lane while the accident is cleared.
