No charges are expected to be filed.

(Florence, Ky.) - Florence Police responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident on Turfway Road on Friday evening.
The crash took place just west of Drexel Avenue around 7:56 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a passenger car had collided with a pedestrian in the right westbound lane on Turfway Road. Through investigation, it was discovered that the Chevy Cruze was traveling westbound on Turfway Road in the right lane as the pedestrian was crossing Turfway Road.
The Chevy Cruze collided with the pedestrian before coming to a stop and remaining on scene.
Florence EMS arrived on scene and transported the pedestrian to St. Elizabeth Florence where she was pronounced deceased from her injuries. The pedestrian has been identified as Edith Obeng, 53 years old, of Florence, Kentucky.
The driver of the Chevy Cruze did not sustain any injuries and has been cooperative in the investigation. The Florence Police Department does not anticipate any criminal charges against the operator of the Chevy Cruze.
The Florence Police Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene of the collision and will conduct further investigations.
