(Seymour, Ind.) – An Ohio murder suspect was arrested Monday during a traffic stop in southeast Indiana.

Indiana State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2016 Hyundai passenger vehicle for a traffic violation on Interstate 65 in northern Jackson County.

The vehicle, driven by Shannon Liccardo, 34, of Twinsburg, Ohio, exited I-65 onto State Road 11 where it then came to a stop.

According to a news release, Liccardo initially gave a false name to Troopers before revealing his true identity. A check on Liccardo revealed that he was wanted for murder out of Maple Heights, Ohio.

The warrant was issued on June 16.

Liccardo was taken into custody without incident and was transported to Jackson County Jail, where he is being held pending extradition back to Ohio.
