OCRA Adjusts Upcoming Grant Cycle Dates

The COVID-19 Response Phase 2, Community Development Block Grant 2020 Round 2, and Planning and Blight Clearance Grants will all see some of these adjustments. 

(Indianapolis, Ind.) - Based on the feedback from stakeholders, the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs is making some adjustments to upcoming grant cycles.  

The COVID-19 Response Phase 2, Community Development Block Grant 2020 Round 2, and Planning and Blight Clearance Grants will all see some of these adjustments. 

 

COVID-19 Response Phase 2

Proposals will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 26.  Final applications new deadline is Friday, July 31 at 11:59 p.m., with funding awards planned for the week of August 23. 

 

Community Development Block Grant 2020 Round 2

The program will open Sunday, August 23, and proposals will be accepted through Thursday, September 24 at 11:59 p.m. Final applications will be due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 20, with funding awards scheduled for December 17. 

The suspension of the Main Street Revitalization Program and Public Facilities Program will continue. Round 2 will only accepting Wastewater/Drinking Water and Stormwater Improvement Program applications. 

 OCRA will reevaluate the suspended programs for 2021 Round 1.

 

Planning and Blight Clearance Grants

A temporary suspension of the planning grant program will come to a close this fall. Application will begin to be accepted starting in August, with minor adjustments. 

Applications will be accepted on a quarterly basis, with a third quarter deadline of Tuesday, September 15. Awards will be announced in the beginning of October. Fourth quarter applications will be due by October 15, and awarded around the beginning of November. 

The Blight Clearance Program will remain suspended through 2020. 

 

It is suggested that all grant proposals and applications be submitted by 4:00 p.m. considering there will be no tech support available after that time.

More information regarding program adjustments will be announced in upcoming weeks and will include a public comment period.
