By Travis Thayer (Rising Sun, Ind.) – The Ohio County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that applications for the Donald Bowman Memorial Scholarship are currently available. The scholarship was established in 2013 by Danika Bowman Brindley in memory of her father and Ohio County resident Donald Bowman, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 57 from lung and brain cancer. Current seniors at Rising Sun, Lawrenceburg, Milan and Switzerland County high schools are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Five recipients will be awarded a scholarship in the amount of $500 each. Two recipients will be chosen from Rising Sun High School, while Lawrenceburg, Milan and Switzerland County high school’s will each be granted one recipient.
