Numerous Arrests Made in Jefferson County Drug Bust

Operation Iceberg was executed on Wednesday.

(Jefferson County, Ind.) – Nearly two dozen people were arrested on Wednesday after a months-long, multi-unit investigation.

Operation Iceberg led to 22 drug-related arrests and removed pounds of methamphetamine and a significant amount of cocaine from Jefferson County, according to Prosecutor David Sutter.

The investigation began in February after authorities learned that Christopher Dorten was a major supplier of methamphetamine in Jefferson County. Throughout the investigation, officers confirmed that Dorten made at least 65 trips to Louisville, where he obtained meth and cocaine from Darrent Richardson, aka Anthony Richardson.

Dorten and Richardson were both arrested in August on multiple charges.

Through the investigation, which involved the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office, City of Madison Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Jennings County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, and U.S. Marshal’s Office, authorities learned Dorten was supplying many others with illegal narcotics, leading to the numerous arrests on September 11.
