North Dearborn Elementary Raises Most Money in Indiana for Kids Heart Challenge

Aside from fundraising, students discover ways to take care of their hearts and brains.

(West Harrison, Ind.) – North Dearborn Elementary School is heart healthy.

The school ranked first in the entire state of Indiana for donations raised for the American Heart Association, Kids Heart Challenge.

In total, NDES students and families exceed the goal of $20,000 by raising $27,245.37.

The fundraising total fell just short of the school’s best year even when they raised $28,920 in 2022.

Other local schools cracking the Top 25 donation list include:

  • Bright Elementary School ($12,269.47)
  • Sunman Elementary School ($6,375.74)

The American Heart Association, Kids Heart Challenge focuses on whole body wellness, helping students improve their own health and better their character while raising life-saving donations for children facing heart-health issues.
