(Kenton County, Ky.) – A northern Kentucky youth baseball team earned a second-place finish on Father’s Day weekend. The NKY Aces 14U participated in the Father’s Day Slugfest at the Kenton County Sports Complex this past weekend. The Aces advanced to the championship game behind the bat of Drake Peetz and the arm of Luke Brown. Peetz hit two three-run homers in game one to power the Aces offense. Peetz also made an outstanding grab in the outfield robbing an opposing hitter of a home run. In game two, Luke Brown took over on the mound recording six strikeouts in three innings of work, earning the win. The Aces would finish as the tournament runner-up after a hard-fought championship game. The NKY Aces 14U are made up of players from the tri-state including four Aurora, Indiana natives: Luke Brown, Drake Peetz, Mikey Post and Preston Sullivan. Other team members include: Kyle Elstro, Conner Burton, Sam Schenker, Alex Tatusko, Kevin Turner, Joe Garza, and Joe Pettit. The Aces are managed by Jack Tatusko, Ty Brown, Greg Sora and Aaron Elstro.
