Murder Trial Pushed Back in Brookville

Crystal Lynn Pence is facing one count of murder.

(Brookville, Ind.) - Crystal Lynn Pence will wait a little longer to stand trial for murder. 

She was arrested in December of 2024 after she allegedly shot and killed her brother, Ronald Pence, at an apartment complex on Fairfield Avenue. According to Indiana State Police investigators, Ronald Pence, 32, sustained a gunshot wound to the chest. 

Crystal Pence pleaded not guilty shortly after the incident and bond was set at $1 million. 

 A jury trial was originally set for July 14, 2025, and has since been rescheduled twice, with the latest date being moved to April 6, 2026.
