Ralph Antoni
(Cincinnati, Oh.) - A man who killed a 22-year-old and dumped his body in Ohio County received the maximum possible sentence he faced Tuesday.
Ralph Antoni, of West Chester, fatally shot Timothy Thompson at Thompson’s home on Lawrenceburg Road in Whitewater Township in November 2010.
Following the shooting, Antoni wrapped Thompson’s head in a bag, placed the body in his car, and drove to Ohio County. Thompson’s body was placed in a creek bed at Camp Shore Campground where it would not be discovered for four more months.
Antoni, 36, was originally charged with murder after his arrest, but he pleaded guilty last month to reduced charges of manslaughter, tampering with evidence, and possessing a weapon while under disability.
Antoni faced a maximum of 17-and-a-half years in prison, and that’s what Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Pat DeWine ordered him to serve during a sentencing hearing Tuesday morning.
