Moores Hill Woman Takes Best In Show At Rising Sun QuiltFest

There were several quilts that received recognition at QuiltFest.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) – It takes a lot of skill to quilt, and the best of the best were on display this past weekend in Rising Sun.

The Ohio County Historical Society and the Sunshine Stitchers hosted the 2018 QuiltFest at the Rising Sun History Museum April 6-8.

Taking Best in Show was Gayle Robertson, of Moores Hill, with her quilt entitled “Just Takes 2.”

Rising Sun Mayor Brent Bascom chose Vevay native Eva Mae Yoder’s “State Birds & Flowers” for the Mayor’s Choice Award. The Viewer’s Choice Award went to Madeline Dykstra of West Chester, Ohio.
