Milan Homecoming Set for Friday; Candidates, Parade Info Announced

(Milan, Ind.) - It is Homecoming Week at Milan Schools. 

Students have been enjoying spirit days all week and will continue the celebration Friday evening. The annual Homecoming Parade will begin from the high school and will go through town starting at 5:00 p.m.

Line up for the parade starts at 4:00. Local businesses and organizations are welcome to participate. 

The parade will be followed by Milan's (1-2) home varsity football game with Mid-Indiana Football Conference foe Switzerland County (3-0). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00. 

At halftime, Homecoming Royalty will be crowned as the following Seniors have been nominated for Queen and King.

Queen Candidates:

  • Sydney Batten
  • Ava Labazzo
  • Elly Potts
  • Tryniti Reed

King Candidates:

  • Matthew Baylor
  • Benjamin Knowlton
  • Wyatt Marsh
  • Micah Norman

Additionally, Milan Community Dollars for Scholars will be hosting an Alumni Tailgate on the patio beginning at 6:30.  All Alumni are welcome to stop by and grab a refreshment, socialize with friends, and be entered to win door prizes.   

Homecoming week concludes with a semi-formal dance for students on Saturday, September 13 from 8-10 PM.  The cost is $5 and students may purchase tickets during lunch or at the dance.
