Following median work, minor work is possible in the area through June 2020.

(Sunman, Ind.) - Road construction continues this week on Interstate 74 between New Point and Sunman.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says Milestone Contractors will continue median work between Exits 143 at New Point and the State Road 101 exit 156 in Sunman.
Both eastbound and westbound traffic was shifted back to their respective lanes last month with the right lane open in each direction. The left lanes will remain closed until median work is complete.
Crews are scheduled to begin paving six median crossovers along this stretch of I-74 on Thursday, November 14, weather permitting. Edge lines will also be painted from MM 150 to MM 156, in addition to re-installation of cable barriers between MM 148 and MM 156. This work is expected to be complete by the evening of Wednesday, November 20.
The $61 million I-74 reconstruction project began in August of 2017. Following median work, minor work is possible in the area through June 2020, but should have minimal traffic impacts.
