(Rising Sun, Ind.) - Rising Sun Mayor Bill Marksberry is not certain whether he’ll petition for a recount.

Marksberry lost the race for mayor to 29-year-old Republican Branden Roeder by just five votes on Election Day, 388 to 383.

Marksberry told Eagle 99.3 Wednesday he will make a decision on whether to ask for a recount early next week.

He has until Tuesday, November 22 to file his recount petition with the Ohio County Clerk of Courts.
