Man Wanted For Hitting Toddler

Tyler Woolpert

Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center

(Aurora, Ind.) – A 21-year-old man is wanted on a warrant after he allegedly struck a 23-month-old child.

Aurora Police say Tyler C. Woolpert is charged with Neglect of a Dependant Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury (Class C felony) and Battery on a Child Under 14 (Class D felony). He has eluded police, however.

Officers learned that Woolpert allegedly battered the child, while in his care.  The initial complaint was investigated by Sergeant Joshua Daugherty. The case was turned over to Detective Vernon McBride who is the investigation.

This isn’t the first trouble Woolpert has been in recently. He was arrested in August on charges connected to allegations that he stole valuables from a Greendale city councilman’s car in June.

Anyone with information concerning Woolpert’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Aurora Police Department at (812) 926-1101.

Woolpert is described as a white male, 5’6”, 128 pounds, with short brown hair and green eyes. He has a tattoo of a cross on his left arm and a tattoo of hands on his right arm.
