Shelbyville 12, East Central 6     BOYS GOLF Greensburg squeaked by South Dearborn, 178-179, on Tuesday at the Dearborn Country Club. Kyle Sellers of Greensburg and Drew Miller of South Dearborn were the co-medalists, each shooting a round of 40. SD's Mason Mastropollo shot a 43, Ryan Roark a 49 and Drew Weissmann a 47. East Central golf got the best of Franklin County at Grand Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday, 173 to 192. Sharing medalist honors with low scores of 41 strokes were East Central's Leising and Busemeyer along with Franklin County's Rowlett.     GIRLS TENNIS East Central 3, South Dearborn 2 - via SouthDearbornAthletics.com - South Dearborn's Madison Fentress defeated East Central's Maddie Davidson 6-3, 6-3 at number one singles. Number two singles player Sydney Yoe lost 3-6, 1-6 against Carly Kane. Three singles player Maddison Zoller defeated Kelly Buescher 6-0, 6-2. In doubles action, the number one team of Samantha Fisher and Skylar Lane battled Lindsay Bischoff and Meredith Struewing. The first set went back and forth before East Central’s duo won in a tie-breaker 7-6 (7-3). The momentum in the second set was all East Central as they won 6-0. Number two doubles team of Brooklyn Cromer and Emily Seward lost 0-6-3-6 against Jaylen Hilbert and Maddie Richter. Franklin County 5, Hagerstown 0 - Franklin County #1 singles player Lilli Stewart beat Jacqueline Habzansky 6-3 6-3. The #2 singles match saw Megan Routh beat Lanie McClanahan 6-2 6-1. In #3 singles, Tori Volk beat Abby Shepherd 1-6 6-3 7-6. In doubles competition, #1 team Kelsey Ball/Lauren Klei beat Mekayla Todd/Kayla Vinson 6-1 4-6 6-2. #2 Grace Moster/Meredith Bohman beat Grace Severance/Brittany Walther 6-1 6-1. Batesville 5, Shelbyville 0 Southwestern 4, Milan 1     SOFTBALL East Central 5, Rushville 4 - East Central's Makayla Plymale hit the walk-off home run to give the win to the Trojans.

Franklin County starter Kamryn McCool had 8 strikeouts in just 3.0 innings pitched, but gave up 5 hits, 4 walks, and 3 earned runs. Kendall McCool pitched 4.0 innings with 4 Ks, no hits, no runs, and a walk. Milan 14, North Decatur 6 - Taryn Cline led Milan's offensive attack with 4 RBI and 2 runs. Courtney Bruns added 2 RBI. Indians pitchers Sarah Hartman and Taylor Amberger combined to limit North Decatur to just three earned runs.     TRACK & FIELD East Central girls won a tri-meet at Columbus North on Tuesday. The Lady Trojans had a team score of 89.5, followed by Columbus North's 50.5 and Shelbyville's 27. EC event winners included Fey (400 meter dash), Griewe (1600 meter run), Abby Bitner (800 meter run), Mackenzie Ewing (long jump), and the Lady Trojans' 4x100 relay team.   Batesville boys and girls both came out on top in a four-team meet. The Batesville girls won with 102 team points, dominating over North Decatur's 55, Jac-Cen-Del's 47 and Hauser's 29. The BHS boys also ran away from the competition with 125 team points, followed by North Decatur's 38.5.   South Ripley took both the boys and girls titles at a tri-meet in Versailles on Tuesday. South Ripley boys won with 62 points to beat Milan's 59 and Rising Sun's 36. In the girls team standings, South Ripley had 70, Rising SUn 44, and Milan 38. Coach Jason Barth says the top finishers for Rising Sun were: Keira Mann finished 2nd in 100m hurdles and 2nd in Long Jump; Kinsey Price finsihed 2nd in 100m dash, 1st in 400m Dash; Kasey Baker finished 3rd in 1600m run and 2nd in 800m run; McKenzie Ellegood finished 4th in 3200m run; Skylar Durham finished 3rd in 300 hurdles; Emma Levi finished first in Long Jump; Abby Wallace finished 2nd in Shot Put and 3rd in Discus; Keirsten Pruiett finished 4th in Shot Put; Riley Chipman finished 2nd in Discus Girl's 4X88 and Girl's 4X100 finished 1st; Daniel Daugherty finished 2nd in 110 hurdles and 3rd in High Jump; Trevor Levi finished 1st in 1600m run, 800m run and 3200m run; Zac Brokaw finsished 4th in 400m Dash; Derak Woytsek finished 3rd in 300 hurdles and 2nd in Long Jump; Derrick Eldridge finished 1st in Shot Put and Discus.
