Local Halloween Events and Trick-or-Treat Times

Several areas remind residents planning to participate to turn on their porch light.

Events 

October 16 

Lawrenceburg- Shady Nook’s 1st Annual Trunk or Treat will be from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Decorated Cars, Games and Candy. Bring a vehicle to participate or children to enjoy. Rain or shine event. Free. 

October 23

Lawrenceburg- Trunk-or-Treat at Lawrenceburg Eagles from 5-7 p.m.

October 26 

Aurora- Aurora Lion’s Halloween Parade will begin at 7 p.m. Meet at the corner of 2nd St and Mechanic St. March down the street to the Aurora Lion’s building. Everyone in costume will receive candy and a special treat. Parents will have the opportunity to take a picture of their kids in costume with our Mr. Lion. Weather permitting. 

October 28 

Aurora- Ghost Walk beginning at 7 p.m. at Aurora Main Street Office. The tour includes eerie tales told while strolling through the historic downtown, tour of Hillforest, witches brew and treats. $10 per person. Reservations required – 812-926-1100.

Aurora- Hallowine Walk from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pick up and return rack card from Main Street Aurora Office. Visit participating businesses and enter to win one of three gift baskets. 

Lawrenceburg- Dearborn Adult Center is hosting a Halloween event with a live band, split the pot, costume contest and cake walk from 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Senior Trunk or Treat from 12p-1p.  

October 30 

Lawrenceburg – Halloween Costume Contest & Movie Night 4:30 p.m. Costume contest at Civic Park 6:30 p.m. Hocus Pocus Movie Showing. Enjoy candy giveaways, prizes and more! There will be adult and kid judging categories.

Sunman- Halloween Costume Contest with 4 age groups. 1 boy and 1 girl from each age group will win. Age groups are ages 0-1, 2-4, 5-8, 9-12. The contest is at 5 p.m. at Sunman Legion Post 337.

Vevay - Moorefield Community Fire Department 8th Annual Trunk-or Treat from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Free hot chocolate will be served. The best decorated trunk or booth will receive a Visa gift card.

Trick-or-Treat for the following areas will be on October 31 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. (unless otherwise noted):

    • Versailles (5:00-7:00 p.m. on October 30)
    • Vevay (6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on October 30) 
  • Ohio 
    • Cleves 
    • Harrison
