Local Gas Goes Above $3 Per Gallon

If you see fuel for less than $3, you may want to fill up now.

(Brookville, Ind.) - Gas prices have risen above $3 per gallon at some local service stations.

Gas retailers in Brookville, Hebron, and Florence are selling regular unleaded for $3.05 up to $3.09. You might still find some stations selling for $2.85.

CincyGasPrices.com says the average price in our region is at $2.94 per gallon. That’s up from $2.80 a week ago and more than 50 cents higher that it was at this time last year.

There may be no relief in sight from ongoing increases, particularly with the heavily driven Memorial Day weekend coming up.
