(Lawrenceburg, IN) – Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation announced that Central Elementary School and Lawrenceburg Primary School were celebrated at the Indiana State House.
They were celebrated during the Fall 2024 Literacy Achievement Celebration for their outstanding third-grade literacy performance. This recognition highlights the exceptional dedication of the schools' staff and administrators in fostering academic excellence.
According to the released scores from the 2023-2024 Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination (IREAD) assessment, third grade students at Central Elementary School ranked 14th in the state, with a passing rate of 96.5%. CES is one of the top three elementary schools in Southeast Indiana.
"These results are a testament to the hard work and commitment of our teachers, staff, and administrators at Lawrenceburg Primary School and Central Elementary School. Their dedication to early literacy has made a measurable impact on our students' academic success,” said Mr. Karl Galey (Superintendent of Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation).
