The race will take place 7:22 a.m. on June 20th. and 7:22 p.m. on June 27th.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Many organizations are adapting to the "new normal" to find creative ways to hold their events, including the 6th annual Lauren's Burg Hill Race.

While this race will still be held, there will be changes due to restrictions surrounding the coronavirus pandemic.

Lauren's Burg Hill race will be held as a "virtual event" which will include the normal 5K or 5 mile walk, run, or sleep in options.

"This was a difficult decision for LBH Race Committee but with the current situation we believe it is the right thing to do," says the Lauren's Burg Hill Race Committee.

This virtual race will allow participants to participate at their convenience from home or with friends while maintaining social distancing guidelines.

Races will be accepted between 7:22 a.m. on June 20th. and 7:22 p.m. on June 27th.

"This race is our most significant fundraiser for Lauren’s Fight for Cure Foundation. The proceeds support Lauren’s legacy to assist children and families fighting DIPG the deadliest form of childhood brain cancer. We are all going through substantial challenges, but we can Never Give Up."

If you are interested in participating in the Lauren's Burg Hill Race, you can sign up online at www.racemenu.com/LaurenHill or by filling out and mailing in the registration form to Mark Knigga at 352 Schnebelt St. Lawrenceburg, IN 47025.

An entry fee of $12 will include the opportunity to take a run or walk at your leisure while supporting Lauren’s Mission. If you aren't a runner or walker, you can also participate by choosing the sleep in option. Just make a $12 donation, hit the snooze and relax.

You may also add a custom t-shirt for $13.

All proceeds will benefit "Lauren's Fight For a Cure" to provide scholarships, assistance to families suffering from pediatric brain cancer, and research.
