Lauren's Burg Hill Races Will Require Road Restrictions

The 5-mile and 5K races take place on the morning of Saturday, June 16.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Lawrenceburg residents and business owners are being made aware of road closures and restrictions during the upcoming Lauren's Burg Hill 5-mile and 5K races. 

The annual races will take place on Saturday, June 16 beginning in downtown Lawrenceburg and traveling throughout the city. The 5-mile run will begin at 7:22 a.m., while the 5K Run/Walk is set to start at 7:24. 

To provide safety for the participants, the following roads will be restricted on the morning of the races:

- Southbound Walnut Street and U.S. 50 to Center Street (6:45 a.m. to approx. 8:00 a.m.)

- Walnut and Center to Arch Street (7:00 a.m. to approx. 8:00 a.m.)

- Arch and E. Center to E. Tate Street (7:00 a.m. to approx. 8:00 a.m.)

- E. Center and E. Tate to Walnut (7:00 a.m. to approx. 8:00 a.m.)

- Main Street over the bridge will be CLOSED (6:45 a.m. to approx. 9:00 a.m.)

- Doughty Road (inbound traffic of U.S. 50 will be limited to one lane between 6:45-8:30 a.m.)

- Bielby Road from Old Kroger entrance to SR 48 (limited to one lane going west from 6:45-8:45 a.m.)

- Industrial Drive (Limited access from 6:45-8:45 a.m.)

- U.S. 50 and SR 48 (north lane will be limited to one lane up the hill from 6:45-9:00 a.m.)

- U.S. 50 westbound (limited to one lane from E. Tiger Blvd. to SR 48 between 6:45-9:00 a.m.)

There is still time to get registered for the Lauren's Burg Hill 5-mile and 5K races with proceeds benefiting Lauren's Fight For Cure to provide scholarships, assistance to families suffering from pediatric brain cancer and for research.
