(Covington, Ky.) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced a projected reopen date for the Brent Spence Bridge.

The bridge that connects northern Kentucky to downtown Cincinnati has been shut down since last November 11 after a fiery crash damaged the bridge and its concrete decking.

The KYTC announced today that the projected reopen date is December 23.

Kokosing Constructing has been selected as the contractor for bridge repairs, and job equipment will start to appear on the bridge as early as tonight.
