(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The Kiwanis Club of Lawrenceburg has lent a helping hand to St. Elizabeth Dearborn.
The nonprofit organization announced Thursday another donation of Keith’s Comfort Blankets to the Dearborn Birthing Center.
With the help of the Hidden Valley Lake Garden Club, the Kiwanis Club was able to make a donation to provide blankets for hospitalized children.
Keith Robert Lewis was born August 6, 2015 and passed away February 2, 2016 from a rare mitochondrial disorder. While a patient at Nationwide Children's Hospital, Keith received many donated blankets and clothing, which consoled his family and made the experience at the hospital feel more like home.
In his honor, Keith’s family and friends developed Keith’s Comfort Blankets to keep his legacy alive.
In 2021, Keith’s Comfort Blankets donated their 10,000th blanket to St. Elizabeth Dearborn.
