Local Authors Fair Set for Saturday at Lawrenceburg Public Library

There will be several events and programs held throughout the day.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Meet and support over 40 authors during the Lawrenceburg Public Library District’s 2026 Local Authors Fair.

The event will take place 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11 at the Lawrenceburg Main Library. 

Authors scheduled to appear are: Sabrina Andonegui, Larry Blundred, Alysse Busemeyer, Bobbi Cornett, Aleigh K. Dean, Jessica Elam, CherieDawn Haas, Rick Iles, J.E. Irvin, Mary Jutzi, Lorry Kirschner, Jenny Kane, H.T. Martineau, Judy McCarty Kuhn, Rock Neelly, Tina Neely, R.H. Nicholson, William Oakes, Mary Ellen Quigley, Susan Ray, David B. Reddick, Barbara Runck, Sheri Roach, Jennifer Schwipps, Constance Sedler, Andrea Shepherd, Tim Smith, Maria Steinmetz, Gena Stonefield, Peggy L. Stortz, Cindy Tanner, Barbara Telcsan, Don Heinrich Tolzmann, Heidi Thompson, Susan Troutt, Bob Webster, Emmie Werner, Beverly Wetterich, Emily Wetterich, Rebecca D. Wilhelm, Effy Williamson, Paul Wonning and Corey Zahler.

At 10:15 a.m., Gena Stonefield will read with her dog, Wenli, followed by a special Barks and Books Story Hour at 11:00 a.m. featuring authors Tina Neely, Bobbi Cornett, Emily Wetterich, Emmie Werner and Effy Wiliamson. They will be joined by therapy dogs Ice and Bella.

Kids attending either story time will receive a mini plush dinosaur, while supplies last.

Two different crafts will be offered for all ages. Preschools can color a special bookmark while school-age through adult can Bind Your Own Book- Colonial Style (an activity celebrating America 250) and/or make your own Mini Baby Yoda puppet. Several sessions are available for each craft at 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Must register.

From noon to 1:00 p.m., adults can play bingo to win books and more. Must register to play bingo.

Throughout the fair, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Steven Himes, a partner at Telemachus Press, will give some insight into how to get a book published. He will have a homebase in the conference room to talk to anyone wanting to learn more about publishing a book! In between he will be walking around the Local Authors Fair, so do not hesitate to stop him and ask a question!

Author H.T. Martineau will offer two special one-shot Dungeons and Dragon sessions. The one for teens will be at 11:30 a.m. and the one for adults will be at 2:30 p.m. Must register.

Set in a library in Port Albatross in the World of Ambergrove, you will find yourselves in the study room of the library at the same time. Unbeknownst to you, while you are studying, someone in the main library has taken a valuable artifact. The library is shut down, and as the only ones who cannot be guilty of this crime, it is up to you to investigate and recover the item before the dark guardian of the library is unleashed.
