(Dearborn County, Ind.) - A caucus was held last week to fill a vacancy on the Dearborn County Board of Commissioners.

In total, 44 of the 45 Republican Precinct Committeemen gathered to select a replacement for the County Commissioner District 3 position recently vacated by Rick Probst.

Kevin Turner was selected to fill the position, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge from his time serving on County Council, as a law enforcement officer, and being a volunteer fireman.

"As Republican Precinct Committeemen, you hold a unique responsibility in determining the future leadership of Dearborn County,” said Mark Dole, Chair of the Dearborn County Republican Party. "The County Commissioner role is essential in managing local governance, and this caucus ensures we select a candidate who embodies our conservative principles and commitment to the community."
