Harrison VFW Ride, Benefit Supports Kelsee Lainhart's Recovery

A Happy Belated Birthday to Kelsee, who celebrated on Friday.

(Harrison, Oh.) - An upcoming event will support a local hero. 

The Harrison VFW Post 7570 will host a Ride and Benefit for Cpl. Kelsee Lainhart on Sunday, October 10. Proceeds will support Lainhart and her long road to recovery. 

Lainhart is progressing at Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland after being seriously injured in the suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26. Earlier this month, she moved out of ICU to the Wounded Warrior Floor, in addition to getting her feeding tube removed. 

Signups for the bike run will start the day of the event at 10:00 a.m. Cost is $20 per bike. Kickstands will go up at noon followed by a benefit starting at 4:00 p.m.

The benefit will be held rain or shine and is $20 per couple or $25 per family. 

The event will includes food, music, and raffles. 

The VFW is looking for volunteers who have four-passenger carts to shuttle people from distant parking spots to the benefit. If you can help contact the VFW post at 513-367-6633.
