(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – This Veterans Day, over 180 colleges and universities nationwide will participate in the “11.11.11 National Roll Call”.
Schools including Ivy Tech Community College in Lawrenceburg and Northern Kentucky University will ask student, administrator, and local leaders to read ten to 15 names per person starting at 6:30 a.m. EST.
The participating schools will read all 6,243 names of the service men and women who have fallen in the line of duty in post-September 11, 2001 foreign conflicts. The idea began with student veterans at Eastern Kentucky University.
