The 2020 national average for passing the NCLEX is 89.61 percent.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - In December of 2020, Ivy Tech Community College’s Lawrenceburg campus graduated their first ever Practical Nursing students who have obtained a 100% pass rate in taking the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) to become Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). The NCLEX-PN is the professional exam that practical nursing students are required to pass in order to receive an LPN license.
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing published that 2020 national average for passing the NCLEX is 89.61%. Since 2018, Ivy Tech Lawrenceburg has maintained an average pass rate of 96.6%. Similarly, Lawrenceburg announced that its 2020 NCLEX pass rate for Practical Nurses was 96%. This needs to be checked for LPN not RN rates.
Ivy Tech Lawrenceburg offers an Associate of Science in Nursing Degree, which trains students to become Registered Nurses (RN), and a Practical Nursing Certificate, which trains students to become a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN). The campus also offers a bridge program that allows LPNs to train to become RNs.
