It's Gonna Pour Wednesday, Thursday

A Flood Watch is in effect through Friday morning.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The tri-state is going to remain wet for the next couple days.

The National Weather Service says rainfall totals could range from 1.5 inches up to three inches Wednesday through Thursday evening.

A Flood Watch is in effect now through Friday morning for the entire tri-state.

Meteorologists will be keeping a close eye on local rivers. The Great Miami River at Miamitown is expected to crest at 21.6 feet, nearly six feet over flood stage, on Friday. The Ohio River could crest at 49.5 feet, just a couple feet below flood stage. Additional rain could cause those river levels to go higher still.

Thursday could bring the threat of thunderstorms. As a cold front moves in Thursday night and Friday morning, wind gusts could blow at up to 45 MPH.

High temperatures Wednesday and Thursday are expected to reach into the 60s, but the cold front will have highs struggling to get above freezing on Friday and Saturday.
