Investigation Underway After Suspects Crash into Pawn Shop, Steal Firearms

The incident took place early Thursday morning in Petersburg.

(Petersburg, Ky.) - The Boone County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary at Goodies Pawn on Petersburg Road. 

At approximately 4:46 a.m. Thursday, a stolen Hyundai Elantra was used to breach the front doors of the pawn shop. A video from inside the business shows two suspects entering and stealing firearms from an enclosed display case. 

Detectives have determined that at least five suspects are involved - two that enter the business, two that remain outside, and at least one driving the getaway vehicle. 

Agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are assisting with the investigation.
