Inaugural South Dearborn HS Class of 1979 to Hold 45th Class Reunion This Fall

The reunion will take place over Farmers Fair Weekend.

(Aurora, Ind.) - The South Dearborn High School class of 1979, the first graduates from SDHS, will be holding their 45-year class reunion Farmer’s Fair weekend. 

The reunion weekend will begin with a class float in the annual Farmer’s Fair Parade Saturday, October 5.  

Classmates interested in riding on the float should meet on George St. in Aurora by 9:00 am.  

The reunion festivities will continue with a tour of South Dearborn High School, conducted at Noon following the parade, by SDHS Principal Stephen Ohlhaut. 

Dinner and reminiscing will take place at the Historic Carnegie Hall School & Museum in Moores Hill from 6:30 to 10:00 Saturday night.  

The cost of the dinner is $20 per person if paid in advance and $25 per person if paid at the door. 

Graduates of the SDHS Class ‘79 are requested to RSVP not later than September 25 to ensure sufficient seating and food preparations. 

Invitations have been sent to Classmates with known email and “snail-mail” addresses, however, 70+ classmates of the 200+ graduates of the First Graduating Class of SDHS have yet to be located and invited.
