The services will be consolidated to Edgewood and Florence.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - As part of a multi-year assessment, St. Elizabeth completed a comprehensive review of patient needs, service utilization, and long-term sustainability as part of its Master Facilities Plan and broader strategic planning.
Following the assessment, St. Elizabeth Healthcare is implementing a limited set of targeted changes as part of a disciplined, data-driven plan to strengthen how and where they deliver care across their system.
"The changes being implemented reflect that work and are designed to ensure patients receive the right care in the right setting, supported by the teams and resources best equipped to deliver it," reads a statement from St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
The changes being implemented this spring include:
- Consolidation of ICU services and overnight surgeries at St. Elizabeth Dearborn to Edgewood and Florence.
- Consolidation of the Skilled Nursing Unit at Ft. Thomas to Edgewood with an expansion of beds.
- Refocusing outpatient rehabilitation services to emphasize specialized therapy, beginning at the St. Elizabeth Dearborn and Versailles, IN, locations.
"These decisions are intentional and focused. They are not broad reductions, but specific actions that align care delivery with clinical standards, patient demand, and long-term access for the communities we serve. St. Elizabeth remains deeply committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care and to supporting our patients, associates and providers through these changes. We will continue to share information as appropriate as this work moves forward," reads a statement from St. Elizabeth Healthcare.
