Investigation: Health Careers and You is an opportunity for youth in 7th-10th grade to get hands on learning experience with the professionals at Highpoint Health and Ivy Tech School of Nursing. In this day long program, you will have the opportunity to tour Highpoint Health, visit with medical professionals to learn about their career and education followed by a trip to Ivy Tech to experience hands on nursing utilizing their Simulation Lab. Youth will get to experience cardiac arrest, giving injections, and placement of IV’s through simulated mannequins that are requiring medical care. All of this will provide you with the opportunity to learn more about the medical field and decide if this is the career path for you.

Even if you are on the fence about what you want to do with your future, Investigation: Health Careers and You is a great opportunity to learn about the health industry and see that it is among the fastest growing industries in our economy. In fact, according to the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, the health industry is actually projected to add over 4 million jobs by the year 2022!
