(Boone County, Ky.) – Motorists should be aware of an upcoming highway safety improvement project in northern Kentucky.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced today that high friction surface installation will take place on Interstate 275 westbound ramp to Kentucky 237 (Exit 6B in Hebron) starting Friday, October 8.
The ramp will be closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
According to the KYTC, high friction surface treatments increase pavement friction and help reduce crashes.
During the ramp closure, motorists can proceed to Graves Road (Exit 8) and re-enter I-275 eastbound to Exit 6 to KY 237.
The $97,000 project is expected to be completed by Monday morning, October 11.
