(Batesville, Ind.) - Margaret Mary Health Foundation is excited to announce it has successfully completed its fundraising campaign, exceeding the $10 million goal set for building a new replacement hospital. The "Ensuring Generations of Care" campaign raised an impressive $10.6 million for the new state-of-the-art facility, which is scheduled to open in the summer of 2026.

The fundraising efforts, which kicked off mid-2024, aimed to secure $10 million by December 2026. Thanks to the incredible support of donors, community partners and dedicated volunteers, the goal was exceeded more than a year ahead of schedule. The Health Foundation presented the check to the hospital during its annual gala on Saturday.

“We are overwhelmed with gratitude by the outpouring of support from our community,” said Jonathon Maple, Executive Director of Margaret Mary Health Foundation. “This achievement is a testament to the shared vision of providing exceptional healthcare to southeastern Indiana. We are excited to see the positive impact this new hospital will have on the lives of our patients and their families.”

Liz Leising, CEO of Margaret Mary Health, echoed the sentiment, stating, “This milestone reflects the unwavering commitment of our community to advancing healthcare here in southeast Indiana. We are just so thankful for the community’s trust and investment in our mission.”

The new hospital will serve as a regional hub for comprehensive medical care, offering a wide range of services to meet the evolving needs of the community. Naming opportunities and opportunities to contribute and be involved are still available until Dec. 31, 2025. To be involved in this exciting project, reach out to Jonathon Maple at 812-933-5141 or jonathon.maple@mmhealth.org.

Margaret Mary Health Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to every individual, organization and business that contributed to the success of the fundraising campaign.
